EVERYONE PUTS THINGS IN PLACES

Yooooo it's Friday, that's it. I wonder what Rebecca Black is doing with herself now. She must be old enough to regret that music video, surely. People must bring it up on dates and at parties and stuff.

The guy who was driving this lorry wasn't even in the cabin, he was out next to the lorry just filling out some paperwork. Traffic was steadily building up on both sides. Hahaha imagine caring that little about everyone. Wicked stuff.

I did a little bit on the TV in the middle of last week. BBC East Midlands news ran a little feature on the Council vs graffiti writers in Leicester.

I was the 'Street Artist' fighting our corner. the phone hasn't stopped since I was on the box. Nightclubs up and down the country trying to book me to throw T-shirts out.

This was no fun. The little chip bit was stuck in my phone. Not an ideal situation.

I had the pleasure of performing at a night with some friends from the Rhetoric literary society. The night was at the exchange near the curve with a combination of singers, MCs and poets taking to the microphone.

I performed the four songs from my newest EP. I've struggled to find a place for these to work, because they are all quite deep and lyric driven it's not like I could get them played in the usual places I would turn to. It was such a nice crowd, they were all so engaging and really into the performance. It was nice to perform some songs outside of a club environment. I could really engage with the audience between the songs and explain the meanings and what not. It's exactly what I had in mind when I wrote these songs.

There's a nice little unwritten code of ethics in my block that people leave unwanted/read books in this corner. There's always a small pile there ready to go to a new home. I'm so into that.

Beastwang was a vibes as ever. Shout to Olly rolling through with the quick pink note.

Chimichanga has opened now, next door to the Showcase cinema in the highcross. I had this wicked steak wrap, it was so hot and nice with loads of peppers and onions. The menu was pretty sick you know, I forget that Tex-Mex is one of the best options in the world.

Big up the girls inside yeah

This guy just ordered a casual bucket of 6 Corona's as an accompaniment to his lunch. I turned around for a second and he had sunk two. Every time I see this picture I imagine him addressing me the way Brent addresses Dawn. 'Does it offend you yeah...my drinking? Keeping tabs?' loool

I hate this kind of shit. With a burning passion I fucking hate it. Conscious, political graffiti from a generation inspired by Banksy. Do these cunts seriously think they're making a fucking statement with this shit, really? who gives a fuck? What are they proving by putting this poster up? HOLD ON NEWS JUST IN IVE JUST NOTICED IN THE BOTTOM CORNER ITS SIGNED OFF WITH 'NOT BANKSY' NO WAY IM FUCKING DEAD HAHAHAHAHA

Pathetic weird drips polluting our world.

Yoooooo see my bro here. Just setting up in Mcdonalds loving the wifi. He didn't even buy anything, just got his mouse and mouse mat out and got to work. Little home office situation set up right here. Incredible scenes.

So I found out a drawing I did is getting reposted on Instagram. Obviously these are only posts that've been hashtagged but I guess there must be more. It made me wonder what else is out there that I've done that's been badly filtered and uploaded elsewhere.

Official Wickedland merch soon to touch road, nothing long

See the way this Nivea pot fits perfectly in this roll of Sellotape? Isn't that the essence of life itself? I threw it to the side after using it and it just wriggled around and sat in there. Wonderful stuff. I looked at it for a little while, I was so happy with it haha.

That's EVERYTHING I'VE GOT! I'm in such a good mood, I hope you guys are too after having read all of the Wickedland. Have a cracking weekend, see you all on the other side

TWISTED PENNYS - BLACK BLANKETS [REVIEW AND DOWNLOAD]

Yo whats geeeeeen on. Teeps dropped his newest body of work the other day I'm just gonna give it a little run through.

'Black Blankets' is Twisted Pennys first project since Torture Chambers that we worked on through out last year. He lead off with 'Chakras' video late last year and now has collated 7 other new tunes to sit with it.

Vocal features from Kamakaze, Sane Skitza (both of BLG) and Cheech of The Bluntskins pepper the playlist, with production from myself (Evergreen) Drae Da SkiMask, Morriachi, R Tik One, Maniscooler, Luke Peterson and Dos Gringos.

It's nice to hear this with having only had a small input in the project. I enjoy working with Teeps because I actually like the music he makes and I'm a fan first. Having worked closely with him on a few more recent projects it's interesting and exciting hearing him and what he has evolved into over different beats from other produced.

If you're big into lyrics and wordplay in general or a UK hip hop fan make sure you give this a listen, it really is the sound of someone refining their craft with a style so niche I don't there is anything quite like it. I'm looking forward to more unique hip hop from TP in 2015.

Black Blankets is available to stream on Soundcloud, Bandcamp and for download here.

CREP CHECKING

Ayyyyyy Woskenon den you lot. We've all nearly made it through January, that's exciting isn't it. Anyway, in we go.

You always see people curbing their cars but this is something spectacular. I can't understand how this happened, the car was almost levitating, like hardly even touching the curb. It was only from where the tire was pinched that it was sitting up there. Fingers crossed a cat get's stuck and eventually killed chilling under the tire.

This guy was mooching about the Highcross H&M in his pyjamas. I'm stood thinking 'Do you bro, don't listen to the haters, they only wanna hold you back' and then I spotted he was wearing slippers too. I got sad. I think he has escaped from a mental home or something.

Are they the best shoes ever? That shop in the Highcross next door to Foot Asylum is so genius. It's like mecca for those Turkish and Albanian guys you see in Peri Peri. I wanna go in one day and have a proper look around but for now looking at the fake snakeskin winkle-pickers on the sales rack in the door will do.

Firstly, the signage is upsetting. Secondly the market baffles me. I get the fruit and veg guys, literally everyone who is alive has to eat, so they're doing ok. But these guys who sell postcards and second hand VHS's and stuff. Do they seriously make a living out of that? How can they? Their job is basically being at a car boot sale, I just don't understand it at all. It's like my living expenses cost me enough as it is, and I don't even have to rent the space that I work from. This isn't a normal 'I don't get it' thing, like I mean I actually cannot understand how these guys make enough money to afford to live.

The gym is full of those new years resolution wankers. It's absolutely heaving. I can't stand it. I was talking to younger bro Gwop one time and he was saying when these people get the idea in their heads that they wanna bang gym in the new year what's stopping them joining halfway through November when they come up with the idea? It's like they're losing the mental battle already. Anyway, that's all besides the point. Peep this guys shoe game. I think they were steel toe caps.

Making birdman look like he isn't even trying innit tbf

Frank put up a video with a wicked still at the end on his IG. It made me very happy, favourite thing I've seen on the internet in a little while.

That's it! Just a quick little round up for today. I'll be back with some more stuff very soon

CHUMBLR 026

Heyo! Some nice stuff I've seen on the internet lately.

This is 100% my shit. Perfect.

Norwegian Airlines "The Flag of Flags" by M7C Saatchi Stockholm. This is my favourite thing I've seen in so so long.

A logo for Elephant Books

Makonnen is making a lot of the music I'm really enjoying listening to at the minute. This shit is so fun to party to and dance to. I've been waking up to this song for weeks on end now, every single day.

My favourite tweet I've seen in a very long time. It's potentially been years since I liked a tweet so much I followed the person off of the back of it, big up you Audrey.

#WICKEDLANDWICHES: CAJUN CHICKEN & BACON BAGEL BURGERS

Yoooooo! About a week ago I made these really nice bagel burgers. Very loosely inspired by something they do at Jones' on Queens Road, they went really well. I decided to make them again and do a step by step, let you lot really see the levels.

Buy the bagels, and chop them in half. It really is rocket science. I got these nice cheese topped ones.

Fry some bacon. Maybe put some music on or something, it's not really got mental yet has it.

Tenderise a chicken breast until it is a lot flatter, thinner and more spread out than usual. Bear in mind you're gonna be chopping this breast in half and putting it in two bagels so it needs to be wide enough. I seasoned mine with cajun seasoning and a little chilli spice.

Toast the bagels. Careful you don't burn them! They tend to toast quicker because they're wider than bread.

I used this sandwich maker I'm got, but any flat tray or pan will do. Put some oil there, spread it around with the bagels and fry them a little bit. This is unnecessary and unhealthy but fuck it, live your life.

They will be lovely and golden when you finish this step.

Chop two thin slices of onion and put them into sizzle in the fat from the bacon.

While they're sizzling spread some sour cream on the bottoms of the bagel. Maybe do some stretches or something get ready to stack these up.

Bacon on the sour cream. I reckon this would be a nice sandwich on it's own to be honest. I love sour cream so much.

Them pop the onions on.

I took the chicken off the heat, put one of those delicious plastic cheese slices over each bit and microwaved them for like 30 seconds just so the cheese melts.

Then take the two onion rings out of the oven that you've had ticking over in there and push them down into the cheese. This is so satisfying.

Finally, spread some sundried tomato paste onto the undersides of the lids. The oil in it bleeds into the bread and it looks so nice.

Flip them and put a little chilli on a stick through them for garnish. Voila, they're done! Eat them!
